Who we are
R3 Group TX is a San Antonio company run by Michael Rumpza. We repair and replace roofs on homes and commercial buildings, and we do the storm and emergency work that comes with living in this part of Texas: hail, wind, fallen branches, tarps on a leaking roof at night.
We also do the exterior work that follows a roof: siding, gutters, painting and carpentry. For property managers and HOA boards we handle multi-family and commercial roofs, with photos and a written scope they can take to an owner or a board.
How we work
- Call or send the form. Someone from the office calls or texts to set a day and time.
- Someone gets on the roof. Not a drone shot from the street. A person walks every slope and looks at the flashing, the vents, the valleys and the pipe boots.
- You get the photos the same day. You see what we saw. Nothing is described to you that you can't look at yourself.
- The price comes in writing before any work starts. If a repair will fix it, the estimate says repair. Replacement only gets written up when the roof needs it.
What that means in practice
Nobody gets told their roof is shot from the driveway. Nobody gets a replacement written up when a repair would do. And nobody signs anything before they've seen the photos and the price.
That's the whole method. It's slower than quoting from the street. It's also how you end up with a repair bill instead of a replacement bill when a repair was the right answer.

Questions people ask
Who comes out to do the inspection?
Someone from R3 Group TX who gets on the roof and walks every slope. Not a salesperson with a tablet in the driveway. They photograph what they find, check the flashing, vents and valleys, and you get the photos the same day. Any estimate that follows is based on what they saw up there, not on what the roof looks like from the street.
Do you do commercial work or just houses?
Both. Houses are most of the work. Commercial and multi-family buildings are a steady part of it too: TPO, standing seam metal and built-up roofs, plus shingle and metal on apartment and townhome buildings. Property managers and HOA boards get photos and a written scope they can pass on.
What if I just want a second opinion?
That's fine. Book the free inspection, and tell us another company has already quoted. Someone gets on the roof, you get the photos, and the estimate says what we'd do and what it costs. If the first quote was right, we'll say so. If it was for a replacement and you need a repair, you'll see that in the photos.
