What exterior restoration includes
- Siding. Replacing cracked, hail-hit or rotten siding and trim.
- Gutters. New gutters and downspouts, or replacing runs that are dented or pulling away.
- Painting. Exterior paint on new siding, trim, fascia and soffits.
- Carpentry. Fascia, soffit, rotten trim, decking and the wood repairs that show up once the old roof and gutters come off.

Why it goes with the roof
Hail that hits a roof hits the gutters and the siding on the same side of the house. Wind that lifts shingles tears fascia and soffit. And when an old roof comes off, the rotten fascia behind the gutter is suddenly visible.
Doing it with the roof means one crew, one schedule and one written estimate with each item on its own line.

How it works
- Call or send the form. Someone from the office calls or texts to set a day and time.
- Someone gets on the roof. Not a drone shot from the street. A person walks every slope and looks at the flashing, the vents, the valleys and the pipe boots.
- You get the photos the same day. You see what we saw. Nothing is described to you that you can't look at yourself.
- The price comes in writing before any work starts. If a repair will fix it, the estimate says repair. Replacement only gets written up when the roof needs it.
On an exterior job the inspection walks the outside of the house as well as the roof. Siding, gutters, fascia and paint each get their own line on the estimate, so you can do all of it or pick what matters now.

On commercial buildings too
Gutters, downspouts, siding and painting on multi-family and commercial buildings run the same way, with the schedule agreed around the tenants. See the commercial roofing page for how those jobs are set up.

FAQ
Questions people ask
Can you do the gutters at the same time as the roof?
Yes, and it's usually the better order. Gutters come off before the roof is torn off and new ones go on after the new roof and drip edge are in. Doing them together means the fascia behind the gutter gets checked and fixed while it's exposed. The estimate lists gutters as their own line so the cost is clear.
Do I have to do all of it, or can I pick?
You pick. Every item on the estimate is its own line: siding, gutters, paint, carpentry. Do the roof and gutters now and the paint later if that works better. The photos from the inspection stay with you either way, so you can see what was found when you decide on the rest.
Does hail really damage siding?
Yes, especially on the side of the house the storm came from. Vinyl siding cracks and chips. Wood and fiber cement siding get dents and broken paint. Metal fascia and gutters show round dents. The storm inspection photographs the siding and gutters along with the roof, so you see the whole picture.
Do you paint the whole house or just the repaired parts?
Either. New siding and trim need paint, and matching old paint exactly is hard, so some people have the whole side or the whole house done. Others paint just the new pieces. The estimate prices the option you want, and we'll tell you honestly whether a spot paint will match or stand out.
